My favorite way to see the city I painted this after a day spent drifting through the canals on a little open boat. There’s something so cool about seeing Amsterdam from the water—you’re lower than the crowds, ducking under old stone bridges, and looking up at the "dancing houses" as they glide by.
For me, being on a boat is the ultimate way to relax. You leave the noise of the busy streets behind and suddenly everything feels quieter and a bit more magical. I wanted to capture that feeling of just floating along with no real place to be. I hope this card brings a little bit of that calm, watery magic to your desk or to whoever you’re mailing it to.
