Every December, Christmas trees go up throughout the city of Amsterdam. I was drawn to this one in front of the Westerkerk, around which half of Amsterdam seems to gather sooner or later. Families, kids, the beautiful building rising up behind the bright decorations – a local tradition worth putting on paper.
