Simply too beautiful not to paint: the rose-veiled fairy wrasse, a small reef fish named after the Dhivehi word for rose because of its magenta-to-orange gradient. It lives deep in the ‘twilight zone’ of the reef, far below where most of us will ever go, which makes its’ colors feel almost like a secret. I wanted this nature-inspired card to hold onto that sense of unexpected brilliance. A reminder that there is beauty to be found in the dark.
