Some friendships are surprising. In this forest illustration, a squirrel and a small bird have set up camp under a cluster of mushrooms, sharing coffee and a handful of berries like it’s the most natural thing in the world. I enjoyed painting two creatures who would normally just pass each other instead sitting down together.
